Jaquette Les femmes de mes amis

Still unknown, not rich enough and in despair about changing that, Ku Kyung-nam  cannot escape anymore the “art film director” label, even at forty years. Though he fells asleep in front of the movies, its evenings in company of a childhood friend and others participants become more and more unlikely. Ten days later, the same Ku Kyung-nom went to the Jeju Island to give a conference, at the request of its former film school. INTRODUCTION

Through an oversized work, Hong Sang-Soo has developed an art of cinematic variation. Sang-Soo’s films are intertwined as much as they are far apart from each other, despite their common formal artisanal frame. With a singular cruelty and a dull anguish, Like you know it all plays recreates the South Korean filmmaker’s groggy loves and ephemeral encounters dear to his heart.

PRESS

"A trivial and metaphysical tale, made of a moist and hallucinated lucidity, frighteningly hilarious.” Amélie Dubois // Les Inrockuptibles

"A sort of gender war, ruthless and funny, takes place there. Its correctness often triggers a depressive laugh in the audience." Jean-François Rauger ,  Le Monde
