David Holzman et ses doubles #4
Le Journal de David Holzman (1967) de Jim McBride, s’ouvre sur ces mots de Godard ou plutôt de son « Petit Soldat » : « [...]le cinéma c’est 24 fois la vérité par seconde. »
15 ans plus tard Jim McBride aura la bizarre idée de tourner le remake américain d’A bout de souffle (1983) avec Richard Gere et Valérie Kaprisky.
C’est alors amusant et assez irréel d’assister à la rencontre de Jim McBride et de Godard, brièvement saisie au vol, en 1979, par le vidéaste Ira Schneider sur une plage de San Diego. A lire Antoine de Baecque, Gordard est là-bas pour parler de son possible film américain produit par la Zoetrope de Coppola, The Story, on voit Jean-Pierre Gorin revenu des fâcheries, Wim Wenders dans un coin…
